For shipping purposes, a thin layer of textile has been applied to the bottom of your new shoes. It will peel off with wear. This is normal and will not affect their performance in any way. For optimal comfort, we suggest allowing your feet to adjust to the enhanced orthotic comfort and support of your new Vionic footwear by wearing it for a few hours over the first few days. In 1-2 weeks, you should feel completely comfortable and supported. To clean, take out the insoles before placing the shoes in the washing machine. Use cold water and air-dry only; using a machine dryer may cause shrinkage due to extreme temperatures.
