The Mayari from BIRKENSTOCK - an elegantly comfortable sandal with adjustable, crisscrossing straps that form a single loop around the toe.
Classic support and adjustability, designed beautifully. This popular sandal has been given an update in a new, vegan material. The upper is made from the skin-friendly, hard-wearing synthetic material Birkibuc®.
Upper material: Birko-Flor® Nubuck
The look and feel of Birko-Flor® Nubuck is an almost perfect imitation of authentic nubuck leather.
Insole: Microfibre
Microfibre is a skin-friendly material which is soft and yet tear-resistant. Because they are free of animal products they are used as the covering material for the lining of footbeds in vegan products, among other things.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.
Outsole: EVA
EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality, very light, elastic material with extremely good cushioning. As a result, it smooths out slight irregularities in the floor and ensures that every step is softly cushioned.
So comfortable - Mayari is my favourite style - suit my feet perfectly. I have a couple of different colours. Certainly, worth the money!

This is my third pair of this Birkenstock style, so I’m definitely a fan. However, the latest pair doesn’t feel the same as my previous ones. The quality seems different and the shoe doesn’t feel as solid or comfortable as before. I still love the style, but something about the materials or construction seems to have changed.
I changed to the Mayari style recently and love them - so much more comfortable and sturdy!
